Aprotech has presented a new KISG 3.0 at GITEX 2024

Adaptive Production Technologies LLC has presented a new Cyber Immune gateway Kaspersky IoT Secure Gateway (KISG) at GITEX 2024

Adaptive Production Technologies LLC (Aprotech), Kaspersky IoT company, presented a new KISG 3.0 at the world's leading tech exhibition GITEX 2024 held in Dubai (UAE) from the 14th to the 18th of October.

The new Cyber Immune Kaspersky IoT Secure Gateway (KISG) is based on the KasperskyOS operating system and can operate in two modes: router and program data diode.

In a router mode, the NAT port forwarding function has been introduced. Application protocol filtering and industrial protocol inspection (DPI with intrusion detection/prevention function) has also become available. It allows to block network connections and specific operations based on the application protocol being used.

Multiple gateways can now be combined into a high-availability network cluster. In addition, new KISG 3.0 supports configuration of user static routes for more flexible network packets management.

Now it has become available to run user applications in a program data diode mode. Execution of every application is carried out in an isolated domain. All applications can be configured, monitored and managed via KSC (Kaspersky Security Center). Certificates management is also available via KSC.

The new KISG 3.0 supports the installation of applications from the Kaspersky Appicenter. Currently, the following "protocoller"-type applications are available for download: OPC UA Client and MQTT Publisher.

As for the general features, the new KISG provides self-testing of key subsystems to monitor the performance of security functions. Additionally, it enables the verification of the integrity of system files and installed applications.

New detailed troubleshooting page was added to the device WebGUI, which provides additional information about system resources and device operation status. The WebGUI itself was updated as well.

And of course, the new KISG 3.0, like its previous versions (KISG 100, KISG 1000), possesses Cyber Immunity — an "inherent" resistance to most types of cyberattacks, enabling it to perform critical functions even in hostile environments.

Kaspersky IoT Security Gateway enables customers to lower the cost of building network infrastructure and streamlines cybersecurity processes. KISG 3.0 is valued in industries that demand high levels of cybersecurity and reliability such as manufacturing, energy, petrochemistry, healthcare, smart city systems and transport and logistics.
